With a population of 56.72 million in 2017, South Africa is unevenly distributed, with most people living in the east of the country. Gauteng is the most populated region, followed by KwaZulu-Natal. The administrative capital is Pretoria. Its President is Cyril Ramaphosa and it has a total surface area of 1,219,912 km2.
