Comoros

The Union of the Comoros is a southern African state in the northern part of the Mozambique Channel. The country's capital is Moroni, the official languages are Comorian (shikomor), spoken by 96.9% of the population, French and Arabic, and the currency is the Comorian franc. The total surface area of the Union of the Comoros is 2,236 km². The capital, Moroni, is located on the largest of the islands, Grande Comore. The Union of the Comoros relies partly on remittances from its diaspora, which establish 25% of GDP.
