Mauritius

Mauritius and Rodrigues are part of the Mascareignes archipelago, along with Reunion Island, a French overseas department.
The total surface area of the country is 2,040 km². The capital and largest city is Port-Louis. The estimated population (as at 31 December 2013) for the whole republic was 1,259,838, of which 623,472 were male and 636,366 female.
