Rwanda
Rwanda extends over 26,338 km2 in the Great Lakes region. The capital, Kigali, is perched at an altitude of 1,400 metres, with a large part of the country above this level. Rwanda is the most densely populated country in continental Africa (430 inhabitants per km2 of arable land). The total population in 2020 is estimated at 12,712,431 inhabitants.
