São Tomé and Príncipe
The Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe is made up of two main islands, São Tomé and Príncipe, which lie between the Equatorial Guinean islands of Annobón and Bioko. The entire territory covers an area of around 1,000 km2. The capital and main port of the country is the city of Sao Tomé (53,000 inhabitants). In July 2009, the total population was estimated at 212,679 by the World Factbook.
