Senegal
Senegal lies between latitudes 12°8 and 16°41 North and longitudes 11°21 and 17°32 West. Its western tip (the Cape Verde peninsula) establishes the westernmost part of continental Africa. The city of Dakar, located there, enjoys the mildest climate in the country.
The country covers an area of 196,712 km2.
