Somalia

The Federal Republic of Somalia is a country located at the eastern end of the Horn of Africa. Somalia has a coastline spanning 3,025 km and a land border of 2,366 km, more than half of which is shared with Ethiopia. The country had a population of around 11.3 million in 2018 (CIA data). The country's mineral resources include uranium, iron ore, bauxite and copper. The economy is supported by international aid and foreign currency earnings from the diaspora, estimated at over 60% of GDP in 2007.
