Tanzania
The United Republic of Tanzania is an East African country located on the Indian Ocean in the tropical part of the southern hemisphere.
The country covers an area of 945,087 km2 and had a population of 58.5 million in 2018, mainly Bantu. Its capital is Dodoma. With agriculture and mining as its mainstays, the country's industrial base is virtually non-existent and uncompetitive. In 2009, agriculture accounted for over 25% of GDP, over 30% of exports and 70% of employment.
