Tunisia
With a surface area of 163,610 km2, the Republic of Tunisia is situated in the north of the African continent. It is separated from Europe by 140 km at the Sicilian Channel. Tunisia passed the ten million mark in 2005, tripling its population since 1956 (3,448,000 inhabitants).
