The 2nd edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF) began on Monday, 15 November 2021, in Durban, South Africa, with the presence of several heads of state. During the inaugural ceremony of this fair, which will continue until 21 November, it was announced that Côte d'Ivoire will host the 3rd edition of the IATF in 2023.
The decision was officially declared by Olusegun Obasanjo, Chairman of the IATF Advisory Board. Out of the 7 countries vying for the opportunity, 3 were shortlisted, and ultimately, the Ivorian capital, Abidjan, was selected. This significant choice is commendable and will be under the auspices of President Alassane Ouattara.
The theme of the 2nd IATF edition is "Building Bridges for a Successful AfCFTA." The Ivorian delegation attending the event is led by Minister of Trade and Industry, Souleymane Diarrassouba.
