On July 11, 2026, the Hambol region hosted the official launch of the 2026 Bissap campaign, spearheaded by the Eburnie-based SME Saveur Nature (SN d’Eburnie) through its Lya’Bissap brand.
The ceremony brought together representatives from the six villages of the Arikokaha sub-prefecture, the local chiefs, women producers, partners, and administrative authorities. At the event, the Sub-Prefect commended the women's commitment and emphasized the importance of the initiative for local economic development and empowerment. This initiative aims to cultivate bissap on approximately one hundred hectares, following agro-ecological principles, in the village of Nangoniekaha.
Representing the National Committee for the AfCFTA, Ms. BAMBA Mantiéni encouraged this project, which concretely illustrates the AfCFTA vision: to produce locally, process locally, and conquer African markets with competitive, high-value-added products. Furthermore, the presence of Côte d’Ivoire Export, ESP, and CGECI demonstrates our shared commitment to the development of the hibiscus sector. The meeting continued with the distribution of seeds, a visit to a pilot plot, and training sessions for women.
Already supported by the National Committee for the AfCFTA, Lya’Bissap is among the companies highlighted in Oridjidji, the section dedicated to the success stories of Ivorian businesses committed to the AfCFTA initiative, and notably participated in a matchmaking mission to Cameroon in 2025.
Through the involvement of rural women and local transformation, SN d’Eburnie highlights the potential of Ivorian SMEs to contribute to the development of more inclusive and competitive value chains.
The AfCFTA is also being built in our villages, with our farmers.
