The African Continental Free Trade Area National Committee (AfCFTA-NC) convened a meeting of its Thematic Working Group (TWG) on investments on Wednesday, 27 July 2022, at the Côte d'Ivoire Investment Promotion Centre (CEPICI) located in Plateau (Abidjan).
The objective of the meeting was to review the draft protocol currently being negotiated at the continental level and provide an opportunity for the members of the TWG to establish connections, learn about ongoing investment policy negotiations, and develop a comprehensive work programme.
Mrs. Fatoumata FOFANA, Executive Secretary of the AfCFTA-NC, welcomed all participants and emphasized the significance of the discussions. She highlighted the importance of the meeting as a platform for Côte d'Ivoire to define its position on investment matters within the framework of the AfCFTA.
The meeting followed the predefined agenda, with active participation from the designated focal points and other members of the AfCFTA-NC.
