The African Continental Free Trade Area National Committee (AfCFTA-NC) participated in the inaugural edition of the "Industrie Festival", held from 1 to 3 July 2022 at the Abidjan National Youth and Sports Institute (INJS). Organized under the theme "Industrialisation, a Lever for Growth and the Structural Transformation of the Ivorian Economy", the event served as a platform for interaction and dialogue among stakeholders in the industrial sector.
The first day of the festival featured a series of panel discussions aligned with the central theme: “Competitiveness of the Ivorian Industry in the Era of the AfCFTA”, where the Executive Secretariat of the AfCFTA National Committee (ES AfCFTA-NC) was strongly represented.
With the opportunities offered by the AfCFTA highlighted, this edition provided the ES AfCFTA-NC team with an opportunity to address all participant concerns related to industrial development and enhancing the competitiveness of Ivorian industrial enterprises under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
The festival's goal is to showcase the potential of Ivorian industry and foster the development of business partnerships in the industrial sector, regarded as a key driver for job creation and wealth generation.
Additionally, it is worth noting that since its inception, the AfCFTA-NC has consistently undertaken initiatives to support the industrial sector, aiming to make it a true lever for the socio-economic development of the country.
Over the course of the three-day event, the AfCFTA-NC actively engaged as an exhibitor, connecting with participants and sharing insights throughout the festival.
