Exchange Programme between Côte d'Ivoire, Niger, and Tunisia

On Monday 14 March 2022, the first day of an exchange programme between Côte d'Ivoire, Niger, and Tunisia kicked off at the Pullman Hotel in Le Plateau, as part of the AfCFTA support project. The event, running until 16 March, is co-organized by the Ministry of Trade and Industry in collaboration with the German Development Cooperation's Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).

The purpose of the programme is to facilitate the sharing of experiences among stakeholders from Côte d'Ivoire, Niger, and Tunisia regarding the institutionalization of national committees under the AfCFTA and best practices in implementing the agreement.

The AfCFTA-NC Executive Secretariat hosted delegations from Niger and Tunisia at its premises, where discussions focused on the establishment of Côte d'Ivoire's National Committee. Côte d'Ivoire, a leader in the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Agreement, is the first African country to have set up a fully operational National Committee.
