The establishment of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) marks a vital step towards realizing the vision of our continent’s founding fathers: a fully integrated, prosperous, and peaceful Africa by 2063.
This initiative seeks to expand intra-African trade across all sectors, elevating Africa’s commercial standing on the global market. It’s an extraordinary opportunity for our continent to stimulate inter-continental trade, drive growth, and create jobs across Africa.
In an era when financial inclusion has been recognized as a major and effective tool for combating poverty and accelerating the development of African countries, the Agreement establishing the Free Trade Area could not have come at a better time. And just as the pieces of a puzzle fit together to form a strong and beautiful picture, so our countries are coming together to create something extraordinary. We are proud to represent our beloved country, Côte d'Ivoire, in this endeavour.
Driven by our commitment to our fellow citizens and to other signatory countries, the National Committee is more than determined to contribute to the success of this Agreement. We stand reassured that all together, drawing from our rich diversity, we will reach our common vision: The Emergence of our beautiful and unified continent.
