| Project Description |
The effective implementation of the AfCFTA should stimulate economic growth across the continent, notably by creating millions of jobs for young Africans, which will be key to ensure development. It will also provide a framework for a more sustainable and inclusive future.
In this context, the AfCFTA National Committee (AfCFTA-NC) developed a national implementation strategy, focusing in particular on:
• National ownership of the Agreement by stakeholders
• Promoting the participation of young people and women in intra-African trade
One of the main objectives of this strategy is to enable young people, particularly students, to better understand the challenges and opportunities of the AfCFTA, in order to mobilise them as key actors in its success.

- Inform young people in universities about the Agreement and the opportunities offered by the AfCFTA;
- Present the operational tools of the AfCFTA;
- Encourage youth participation for the effective implementation of the AfCFTA;
- Educate young people on the development of entrepreneurial culture and innovation.

| Priority actions |
Each meeting will last half a day and will include presentations on the AfCFTA Agreement and a conference led by experts from the Youth Employment Agency, Côte d'Ivoire PME, and the Executive Secretariat of the AfCFTA-NC. |
| Expected results |
• Young students are informed about the AfCFTA Agreement and the opportunities it offers.
• Students are aware of the realities of entrepreneurship in Côte d'Ivoire, as well as the mechanisms put in place by the government to facilitate its practice and successful development.
