AfCFTA Information and Awareness-Raising Roadshow for Public and Private Sectors |

| Project Description | With the effective entry into force of the AfCFTA Agreement, the AfCFTA National Committee is focusing on raising the awareness of, training and informing national stakeholders. This first project is a continuation of the actions already undertaken in 2020. In 2021, the AfCFTA-NC, through its Executive Secretariat, will increase its efforts to raise awareness among national stakeholders on the stakes, opportunities and challenges presented by the Agreement for Africa in general, and for Côte d'Ivoire specifically. Also, through these outreach actions, to get the public administration to take ownership of the Agreement, and to support the private sector. |
| Objectives | - Inform the institutions visited about the Agreement and its content, the current negotiation process, the state of national implementation and the national strategy for taking full advantage of the African common market; - create a framework conducive to exchanges and discussions on the collaborative arrangements needed to exploit the opportunities offered by the African market; - Present some guidelines on the implementation of the action plan; - Encourage strong stakeholder involvement in the implementation of the AfCFTA. |
| Targets | - Public and private bodies; - Members of the AfCFTA National Committee; - Professional associations or organisations involved in commercial activities likely to be affected by the AfCFTA. |

| Expected results | - Participants will have a better understanding of the AfCFTA and its implications - Participants will be fully informed about the current negotiation process - Participants will be aware of the state of implementation of the Agreement at national level and the measures taken to benefit from the opportunities offered by the AfCFTA, including the national strategy - Increased ownership and commitment of stakeholders in the implementation of the Agreement. |
